One resort, four days, 18 celebrities, one hot event. The “Summer with the Stars” just got hotter…

From June 15 to June 19, eighteen stars are frolicking while literally beating the heat in the world-renowned tourism haven that is Cancun in Southern Mexico, nicknamed as the “Glistening City”. The city is warm (yet rainy!) year-round, with an average high of 89°F.

On Friday, June 18th via Palace Resort’s livestream video coverage, we caught a glimpse of the ever lovely, always beaming, joyful and beautiful Didi Benami on the Red Carpet hours before performing for an all-star musical gala with fellow American idols at the Moon Palace Resorts.

Former *NSYNC band member and television star Joey Fatone (walking in around 29:30 on the video below), dressed in a black striped shirt with a mic on one hand and a towel on the other, hosted most of the Red Carpet interviews. We saw the celebrities talking to the media and posing for photos. When it got to Tim Urban (around 1:20:00), Didi (around 1:22:00) and Kristy Lee Cook (around 1:30:00), a rep from the Palace Resorts chatted with the final three stars as Joey himself got ready to host the main event.

The American idols were set to perform (an unconfirmed) two songs each and we’re guessing Didi sang a Beatles song and a song she performed on the Idol stage? We’re not sure if all the idols performed on Friday because they also have a closing event happening Saturday. It also looked like the idols are going to have group number/s. We hope to know more…

Didi wore Kareena’s Trends on the red carpet and most of her Cancun outfits are probably from the trendy fashion line as she hinted with this tweet over a week ago: “Just left Kareena’s Trends & Beaded Goddess showroom- got some beautiful, funky pieces for Cancun- love this line!”

While it seems that the stars are all fun and game, the hosting resort have in fact bigger itinerary for them. The resort is involved in giving back to their local community with various projects and @DidiBenami via Twitter introduced us to their causes:
