Basketball, music and celebrities go together? You betcha!
Stars came out to support Angels in fur dog rescue’s first annual fundraiser last Saturday, April 30th at Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA. Dubbed as “Play for the pups” celebrity basketball fundraiser, the event attracted TV, music and movie personalities coming together for a good cause.
Didi Benami was there cheering on not only for the celeb players but for the canine beauties she met! “Supporting and Lovin on all the cute pups!!
” –she tweeted fans with a photo of “Fido.”
Half-time at the game, she tweeted: “Just embarrassed @TimUrbanMusic music by singing happy birthday to him
! Ha!” (Tim’s birthday is May 1st.) Tim Urban responded with a photo of a delicious looking cupcake : “@Didibenami gave me this for my birthday!”
Didi also posted a photo of her and James Denton tweeting a fun tidbit that they went to the same college (Belmont University) in Tennessee.
Later on she gave a shout out to the organization: “Thank you again AIF Dog Rescue. So happy to support. Deeply moved by this incredible cause. I hope more people become aware of what you do!”
Hosted by comedienne Debra Wilson, the activity included a red carpet, musical performances, VIP meet and greet, and yes, the actual ball game.
