Didi Benami is performing “Terrified” in the tour plus a Sara Bareilles track?! Lite Rock 99.3 has the scoop

Kudos to Mike and Mindy in the morning for asking the right questions and sort of cornering Didi to spill the beans on what she’ll be singing on the Summer tour.

Didi just confirmed on this interview that she will be singing the Kara DioGuardi-Jason Reeves penned song “Terrified” included in Katharine McPhee’s second album.

“There is another song that I have not sang on the show that is a really lovely song that I’ve been working with the girl who wrote the song that I’m singing… I guess I’m only supposed to reveal one song but yeah I’m really excited. It’s gonna be a lot of fun and yes, I am singing “Terrified.”

We’re obviously speculating here but the “girl” sounds like Sara Bareilles!! This is just our guess based on her answer and her Tweet in April. She wouldn’t just happen to have tea with Ms. Bareilles out of the blue, there has to be more to the meeting and this could be it- talking about which song she could do for the tour…

On April 12th she tweeted:

Wow. We love Sara but hopefully Didi will perform a less known track of Sara’s and make it into another “terrified” hit. We don’t think we can stand hearing “Love Song” again for the hundredth time even if sang by Didi!

Our wild guess though, she might do: “Gravity” but if we could have our choice: “Bottle it Up” would be perfect for Didi. This would balance her performance one slow “Terrified” and an upbeat “Bottle it Up.” Gravity could go two ways, she will have a ‘moment’ or it will be too sleepy for such a huge concert.

Don’t carve our word in stone, we could be wrong here…
