This unreleased song of Didi suddenly popped out in the internet and on YouTube and we couldn’t wait to grab hold of the song as well.

Uncovered on Rocco Guarino’s website are two unreleased songs that Didi and Rocco created and submitted for demo in 2008: “My Way Up (Single) and Sweet Rain (Single). The two songs were written by Didi and Rocco is listed as co-writer, producer, engineer and mixer.

On the website it says that:

Rocco Guarino is a songwriter, record producer, photographer, and director based in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked with artists such as rock supergroup Velvet Revolver, Top 12 American Idol contestants Didi Benami and Amanda Overmyer, legendary songwriter Diane Warren, Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, Slash, Scott Weiland, and many others.

Digging deeper, we found this sweet entry on Didi’s blog on MySpace talking about the song “Sweet Rain” and wishing her dad a happy birthday!

Today, November 26th, 2008 is a very cool day.

The weather has been very strange here lately. As in the other night when it was so foggy. I was driving down 3rd street and it looked eerie. Odd.

Anyway, today is the birthday of not only my father (Happy Birthday, Dad!!!) but it is also the birthday of my song Sweet Rain.

What has been even cooler is that it was raining the evening we wrote Sweet Rain, last year, which inspired the song, and here we are again, it has been raining all last night into today. Cool.

It is also the year anniversary or meeting my friends Rocco and Panhead. They are here via Wichita.Both of them lived there for a bit and I met them a few weeks before I was traveling there for a short break from LA. Wichita is one of my favorite places for many reasons. The people there are great.

…Wow it is pouring outside… I love it. It’s just so nice here after it rains. It’s clear and washed. It’s like a fresh start. Beautiful.

Cheers to a cleaner Los Angeles and Happy Birthday Dad!

We really loved this single and are surprised no record label wanted a hand on it! It’s a catchy song that we picture could be an anthem song… She should include this on her album!

The song is very enjoyable and owns some great lyrics. It’s a positive, feel good anthem-type and it makes me happy; not wanting to reflect on the bad, but accept it, and make a change–to find my (visually unclear) self underneath the (visually clear) negative passing me by in life.

I read this blog on Didi’s myspace and was really happy when I found out that you guys had uploaded the song!
