We tried searching for any songs that may have been played on Idol in the past.

There are only four Rolling Stones songs covered in American Idol history and 8 idol hopefuls ‘braved’ singing them:

>> “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” is a 1966 song and hit single by The Temptations. It has been covered by many artists from Rick Astley, J. J. Jackson, The J. Evans Band, Ben Harper to the Rolling Stones.

Idol Performers: Ruben Studdard, George Huff, Scott Savol and Michael Sarver

“Not Fade Away” is a song from Buddy Holly and Norman Petty and first recorded by Holly’s band The Crickets. The Rolling Stones did a cover of the song.
